The appearance of lots of barn swallows in Puchong recently could be attributed to the few days of heavy bouts of rain, which subsequently saw the appearance of lots of insects, especially dragonflies.
Barn Swallows are insect eaters and are known to catch their prey while on the wing. They can even drink while they’re flying and often skim the water to pick up floating insects. This could explain why they were seen in the vicinity of the pond at the Town Park in Puchong.

The photos where shot at a rope-and-cable bridge at the Town Park, Bandar Puteri, Puchong.
