Cesky Krumlov

Cesky Krumlov is a heavenly gem hidden away in the woods some three hours away from the modern and vibrant Prague in the Czech Republic. It's a small rural community surrounded by the hilly and tranquil Blansky Les Forest and taking a car or bus ride there will allow the visitors to appreciate the scenic views along the way.

The old town is a UNESCO World Heritage site with beautiful and colourful buildings that exhibit various architectural styles, Gothic, Renaissance as well as Baroque.
The Cesky Krumlov Castle is a most interesting site to visit, sitting on top of a cliff with part of it a medieval fortress and the rest like a chateau. There is an aqueduct-style bridge with a water canal like a moat running around a large part of the castle grounds. Most interestingly, the castle and the buildings within its grounds have managed to retain its medieval charm and walking around the grounds is like taking a walk around a medieval village. This place is a gem yet to be swarmed by tourists.
