The great Mormon butterfly is a large swallowtail specie but the male (in the picture) does not possess a tail. There are many subspecies and many of them sport different colours and wing patterns but their forms are similar. They are commonly found in South Asia and across the SE Asian countries.
While feeding at the flowers, it tends to flutter its forewaings while its hindwings are kept stationary.
