Malaysian Moths

 








 



 

 

Most of us have been conditioned to think that butterflies are pretty and moths are ugly. Not so. I have posted some photos of skipper butterflies which go against our normal thoughts of beauty.
Most of us seem to think that moths are not creatures that we can appreciate, at least in terms of our ideas of beauty. This could have come about because the moths that come into our houses are usually grey and drab in colour. But there are many varieties of moths in Malaysia that are beautiful. Unfortunately they are not as common. 

Here are some examples of moths in our country. You will probably agree with what I have said about Malaysian moths after you have seen these photos.
